Cold toes and warm tater tots

Yesterday was the first of our monthly meetups.  Despite the 10-degree temperature and slick roads, six valiant pushers showed up at Stonefly to eat fried foods and drink PBR at the special Pedal Pusher discount rate.  It was so much fun to see everyone and hang out as a gang.  Shea even brought along a video camera and did impromptu interviews of us.  If we can get our technical know-how in order, you might see some clips posted up here.

To everone who came to the event – thanks for braving the cold.  To everyone else, I encourage you to come next time, because it was totally fun.  The next monthly meetup is January 1.  I think it will be the perfect way to wind down from whatever crazy new year’s eve you are planning.

First Monthly Ride–Thursday!

Calling all PPSers, this coming Thursday, December 4th the Pedal Pusher Society is holding its first monthly bike ride–come join us!

We’ll depart from Stonefly around 6:30pm and will go on a bike ride depending on what the folks who show up are in the mood for and then return to Stonefly, where we’ll likely celebrate with a tasty beverage and some food. Cheers!

So mark your calendars, PPS ride the 1st Thursday of every month!

hello friends,

our nacho party last week was fabulous, and everyone who came was excited to talk about the direction of the group.  lots of great ideas were discussed, and we’ve decided to implement a number of them.  first and foremost, we are now going to hold rides all throughout the winter months.  these rides will take place every first thursday of the month, and we’ll be meeting at stonefly brewery in riverwest at 6:30pm every time.  from there, we’ll bike wherever folks feel like it, and then head back to stonefly for good cheer.  the owners of stonefly are excited to have us, and have said that they’ll work out some sort of fun pedal pusher special every thursday.  we heart you, stonefly!!!
next thursday is the first thursday of the month!  so please join us december 4th at 6:30pm at stonefly, 735 e. center street.  if you’ve never biked in winter before, or think that winter biking in wisco is crazy, or just need more encouragement to get off your duff and atop the steel pony, this is the night for you.  we’ll all support each other, no matter where we’re at with winter biking, and, possibly surprisingly, you’ll have a lot of fun.  dress in layers to stay warm, or to cool off if you get too hot!

New ride schedule

The Pedal Pushers met last week (over nachos and Jarritos) to discuss plans for the upcoming year.  We decided to beef up our ride schedule by holding monthly rides on top of all the other special rides we do.  So, please sharpie-us into your calendar.

EVERY FIRST THURSDAY of the month we’ll meet at STONEFLY BREWERY (735 e. center street, milwaukee) at 6:30 pm.  We’ll ride and then return to stonefly for vittles.

Our next ride is Thursday, December 4th at the above time and place!  Be there!
